Chesapeake Storytelling Festival (September 16, 2017) – Eastern Shore of MD. Join seven nationally acclaimed feature storytellers Bil Lepp, Kim Weitkamp, Tim Lowry, & Megan Hicks plus Gwendolyn Briley-Strand portraying Harriet Tubman & Rosa Parks; Brian Patrick Mulligan portraying Theodore Roosevelt & Ben Franklin; & Pat Jordan portraying Clara Barton at this 2nd Annual Festival. The festival is held indoors in three theatres (plus a Children’s tent) on the campus of the Chesapeake College (Wye Mills, MD). The festival begins at 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning at concurrent stages featuring the national plus local storytellers, and continues through the day until a dinner break with music. Attendees return to the main theatre for a closing olio by the national storytellers followed by ghost stories with Kim Weitkamp until about 9:30 p.m.
This party atmosphere provides fun for the whole family. Food vendors, art, and music will be on the campus.
