Breathing Life into Characters: Archetypes, Improv & Collaborative Storybuilding Workshop

May 31 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

The Living Word Storytelling Workshops | Session 2  Breathing Life into Characters: Archetypes, Improv & Collaborative Storybuilding

with Clinton B. Atwater, Storyteller & Founder of Storytelling Connections

What if your characters could walk into a room before you even introduced them?

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll move beyond plot and into the heart of what makes a story feel inhabited — the characters who carry it. Through embodiment exercises, improv games, and a collaborative story circle, you’ll discover how the oldest patterns in human storytelling can make your characters leap off the page, off the stage, or out of thin air.

You’ll leave with:

  • A working understanding of the seven core character archetypes — and how to feel them in your body, not just your head
  • Improv tools (Yes, And / One-Word Story) that unlock collaborative and spontaneous creativity
  • A fully developed character profile built in real time with a partner
  • Experience performing a live character monologue

No storytelling experience required. No performance experience required. Just a willingness to play.

Sunday, May 31 | 4:00–5:30 PM ET | Via Zoom $25
