I am a semi-retired United Methodist pastor in Virginia and a Spiritual Director/Guide. Currently I serve two rural churches in Loudoun County. I am a writer, wanting to be a better storyteller, a dreamer, gardener, husband, father, brother, uncle and Friend. My wife and I live in Culpeper. We have 4 grown children between us and two young grandchildren. We live on 4 acres of mostly wooded property.
I participated in a program through Minyan Oneg Shabbat, an ecumenical non-profit with Jewish Renewal roots that also has retreats and classes for storytellers. I find storytelling a wonderful way to share our hopes and dreams, our past, present and future and just for laughs! Storytelling uses our imagination and curiosity to share our values, to encounter kindness and lessons on living a full and whole life. Storytelling can help us be in community and be alone in wonder and awe.
